Learner Driver Passes Test Whilst In Labour

Did you hear the one about the woman who passed her driving test whilst in labour? Seriously - it actually happened back in August, believe it or not!

Emma French, a learner driver from West Lothian, broke her waters mere hours before her driving test. Instead of calling the test off she decided to go-ahead and take it anyway.

According to Ms French she wanted to sit it and get it out the way before the baby was born, otherwise she "wouldn't have another chance until the baby was older."

Even more surprisingly, after sitting and passing the practical driving test she chose to drive herself to the hospital where doctors discovered that she was around 3cm dilated and she gave birth just 6 hours later.

A truly incredible story and, whilst iKube wouldn't recommend taking your driving test whilst in labour, just goes to show what can be accomplished with a little extra pressure. ;)

Congratulations to Emma and we wish you well with your driving future!

If you're aged between 17 - 25 and learning to drive but need provisional insurance to run your car then check out iKube's black box insurance cover - it might be just what you're looking for.
