Black box insurance - cover of choice for young drivers

Car insurance for young drivers, whether we like it or not, has seen an increase in average car insurance premiums over the last few years. Whether this is down to the impact of the recession or simply down to the fact that insurers are unwilling to hedge their bets on newly qualified motorists between the ages of 17 - 25 - one thing is certain. Young drivers insurance can be expensive.

As a result of this many young drivers and their parents are looking at black box insurance as a way of driving down premium costs - but not at the risk of a drop in cover.

iKube's black box insurance, for example, tends to be more affordable than standard car insurance and, in many instances the amount of money young drivers (or their parents) can save is substantial. Unlike "traditionally" rated young drivers car insurance iKube works in a slightly different way.

Whilst the traditional policies are calculated according age, gender, occupation, postcode, etc, our black box insurance policy takes into account other factors that traditional insurance providers simply don't take into consideration.

The great thing about having a black box installed in your car is the amount of data it can collect about your driving. We monitor the time of day you drive and we rely on your word, as a young driver, that you will avoid driving between 11pm - 5am.   Based on this agreement we can reduce the amount you pay significantly - by up to 25% in some cases.

However, the really nice thing about our black box insurance is that it doesn't just stop there. As long as the young driver is safe and careful whilst on the road then they could receive up to 40% discount on renewal.
So whether you're a young driver or a parent of young drivers’ iKube may be the cover of choice.
